Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Proposal Review

In April of 2019, the board members of WSRID began working with a consultant to review and analyze our organization with the goal of finding opportunities for us to become more inclusive. Through reviewing our governing documents and interviewing community stakeholders, our consultant, Mr. Ritchie Bryant, was able to provide the Board with a report of recommended changes for the organization. We are excited about this proposal and for the growth opportunities it presents.

The Board will be hosting a Town Hall style meeting on Feb 20th to share the information contained in the report with the membership and to gather feedback from participants. We hope you will join us to learn more about these plans, and we look forward to working together to grow WSRID into an organization that better serves the needs of our communities.

DeafBlind Accommodations: Please email accommodation requests by Feb. 6th. The event will take place in ASL and will not be recorded.

Zoom: It is very important that participants use their real name when joining a Zoom meeting. The host must know who is being admitted to the meeting. If you have not added your real name, the host will not admit you. If you have questions or concerns related to technology access, please email us as soon as possible.

WSRID does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, disability, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, age, marital status, political ideology, military or veteran status, parental status, or breastfeeding in a public place. This applies to all activities of the organization, including-but not limited to: employment, elections, meetings, workshops, and conferences. WSRID Officers, Board members, and committee Chairpersons shall be aware of this policy and uphold it at all times, in accordance with state and local law.
