This Year's MC:

Stephanie Mathis

Stephanie Mathis is a proud Southern Californian who’s been dancing and doing cartwheels since she was five! Things really took off when she joined the Gallaudet Dance Company, where she grew in both confidence and dance skills. She later taught gymnastics and dance to Deaf and CODA kids through the National Deaf Dance Academy, and provided ASL translation for the Gallaudet Dance Company.

Stephanie is the Interim Co-Director at ADWAS, President of WSRID, a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Certified Deaf Interpreter, and Certified Zumba Instructor. She loves working with people who care deeply about keeping the Deaf, DeafBlind, and DeafDisabled community safe, and supporting survivors as they heal and reclaim their lives.

Her heart belongs to her kids, grandbabies, her loving husband, their pup Sparky, and cat Snowflake. She’s happiest at the beach, watching the sky, and of course, dancing any chance she gets.

Stephanie lives by this: "When you have the choice to sit it out or dance… I hope you dance!"
