You are cordially invited to join us in celebrating and uplifting the Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing (DDBHH) communities, and ASL interpreting professionals of Washington State!
The Washington State Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (WSRID) and the Washington State Association of the Deaf (WSAD) are united in our mission to educate our communities, enhance the quality of interpreting in Washington State, and safeguard the rights and well-being of Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals. After five years marked by unprecedented challenges and a significant slowdown in professional and social activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are delighted to reintroduce this revitalizing event in 2025.
This year’s conference will prioritize the contributions and voices of Washington professionals and community members, empowering us to build a solid foundation of trust, knowledge, and collaboration as we tackle the challenges ahead. The conference will feature WSAD’s annual business meeting, inclusive entertainment on Saturday evening, poster sessions, and ample opportunities for meaningful community dialogue. Interpreters will have the chance to earn CEUs, focusing on PPO and Professional Studies concentrations.
Washington faces daunting state budget cuts, an ongoing shortage of interpreting services, and social and political pressures that impact the well-being of the Deaf community and interpreters alike. We firmly believe in the strength of shared values and collaboration to empower our community during challenging times. As nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations supported by our members, WSRID and WSAD are reaching out to you as a trusted community partner to join us in reconnecting the diverse aspects of the DDBHH and interpreting communities in Washington.
There are various ways to support the 2025 conference. Sponsorship tiers and collaboration opportunities are detailed below. We deeply appreciate any level of sponsorship, as your support will help us deliver an exceptional conference experience.
