Presenter Call

While all topics are welcome, this year's conference will place an emphasis on building community strength and skills for navigating evolving relationships and practices in the field of interpreting and DDBHH community work. WSAD and WSRID are partnering in an effort to highlight the strength available through building robust relationships.

  1. How can interpreters and the Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing communities work together for our mutual benefit?
  2. What skills do we need to develop in order to grow and heal together?
  3. How can we harness the lessons from past harm to strengthen our collective efforts moving forward??
  4. What are current issues that face Interpreters and the D/DB/HoH Communities?
  5. What is your vision for the future of Interpreting and DDBHH accomplishments in Washington state?

We are seeking presenters who can provide workshops and presentations that address these topics. The conference is an immersive ASL environment and workshops should be offered in American Sign Language. Fill out this form to propose a full length (45-90 mins) presentation or workshop for the WSRID+WSAD Conference 2025.

Interested presenters should submit a presentation proposal by August 1, 2025.
