Deaf Talks is a series of presentations in ASL by Deaf people about something they know and love. It is an unique opportunity to expand our language base through exposure to language models in topic areas relevant to today's interpreted environment.


Imaging Modalities in Diagnostic Radiology

Elizabeth Ayers Gibson is a sonographer with 15+ years of experience providing exceptional diagnostic medical imaging. Her board certifications include Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Vascular, and Breast specialties. She has a B.S. degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from R.I.T. and a M.S. degree in Deaf Education from N.T.I.D.  She has published two articles in JDMS (Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography).

Gabby Hopkinson is a deaf mother of three small deaf boys, a business owner, a board member of Deaf Spotlight, and one of the founders of Deaf Education Action Committee of Washington. She resides 10 miles north of Seattle, a town she fell in love with on an impromptu visit with her long time partner in crime 18 years ago.
